Video | David Florey Needs a Coffee
So today I thought I would make myself a freshly brewed coffee, and after watching some inspirational videos about making videos, I decided I would shoot some of my own video of me making my coffee… Well, the video clips used to make the coffee were filmed with my iPhone X successfully, but with my younger two kids making lots of noise and background music going, I really couldn’t use the audio from the clips – but originally, I wasn’t going to use any audio…
While editing, I decided I needed the audio, and another coffee. By this time, the kids were in bed, the playlist finished, the house was quiet – time to get to work…!
I made a second coffee, and this time, used the Voice Recorder app to record just the audio of me making the coffee, and then would attempt to match the audio with the individual video clips used to make up the sequence… and I thought, why not also record a slow motion clip of the milk mixing in the glass with the coffee – at 240fps, why not…
So, after about an hour of messing around with Premiere, my clips, and a file from Illustrator to make the black frame lines that appear above and below the milk shots, here it is:
